A quick trip to Greece before I launch Bastét...
Sifnos recommendations, euro trip outfit inspos
If you’re planning a trip to Greece, the options can feel endless—over 6,000 islands, many of them equally beautiful. For this trip, I was looking for somewhere calm, quiet, and walkable, with access to secluded beaches and good food. We chose Sifnos, a small Cycladic island with no airport and minimal tourism infrastructure. It’s traditional, low-key, and known for its pottery and cuisine. Without mega-resorts or cruise docks, it’s managed to stay under the radar—just narrow roads, quiet beaches, and one of the most balanced rhythms I’ve experienced in a while.
Okay, so for packing I think the reality is that we plan all of these outfits often times end up more casual or we end up wearing the same thing on repeat. I figured I’d share what was originally planned for those who are looking for outfit inspo with some links.

Day 1, we landed in Athens and decided to stay the night just enough time to reset and try to get a small handle on the jet lag before heading to the island.

Stay: Monument Hotel Design-forward and understated. A quiet, well-placed hotel with soft sheets, a small sauna, and just enough structure to land gently after a long flight.
Do: Walk through Plaka. Eat something simple and local. Sleep early. The goal here isn’t to explore it’s to arrive.
**Outfit details here is an Old Rodebjer Tidar Skirt + Flore Flore white Esmé tank
The next morning, we took a two-hour ferry from Athens to Sifnos and checked into the beautiful Stamna Hotel.
Stay: The Stamna, a newer boutique stay just outside Apollonia—the island’s central town. It’s quiet, minimal, and well located. From there, we used it as a base to explore the island.

Do: I’d say one of my favourite things to do in Sifnos is exploring and discovering their beaches. The beaches vary—some more developed, some completely remote. My approach: pack a day bag, drive to one spot, swim, eat, read, and maybe find another beach before sunset.
Faros Beach: Accessible, slightly busier. Great for a first or last day.
Where to eat: Pelicanos or Alyelo—both upscale but relaxed.
Apokofto: A short walk from Faros. Quieter, with two traditional tavernas.
From here, you can hike to the Chrisopigi Monastery, and around to a more private beach on the other side.
Panagia Poulati: My favorite swim. Down a rocky path near Kastro. No shops, no signage. Just a pocket of sea and silence.
Vroulidia: A dramatic, very steep drive down a cliff. You arrive at a beach with turquoise water and two restaurants.
Where to eat: Katerina or Vroulidia Taverna—simple, fresh, exactly what you want after that drive.
Manolis my personal favourite restaurant on the island. It’s right on the beach overlooking Vathi bay. We ate there twice and I’d eat there again tonight if I could.

P.S. *Based on my actual vacation worns.. I recommend packing a light sweater. The islands tend to be windy and in the evening it’s nice to have something warm to wear as the sun sets. I brought this cashmere crew neck and wore it almost every night.
Alrighty, so that concludes my short guide to Sifnos, Greece… Hope you all enjoyed :)
My next letter is going to be more about the behind the scenes of building Bastét-chat soon?
